New Product Development Associate
The New Product Development Associate will need to be extremely in the know about market trends and is always ready to discover interesting products to expand our existing product line. You're also an outstanding project manager who is able to manage and coordinate our suppliers, creative and marketing teams to launch products on schedule and within specifications.
You will be playing an active role:
- To maintain a master sourcing list to track potential and existing suppliers comparing lead time, cost, quality and other specifications.
- To service and develop relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- To be familiar with the regulatory requirements of products to launch in different markets.
- To maintain and check product documentation (ie: Certificate of Analysis, Material Safety Data Sheet, Final Artwork, etc.)
- To handle the procurement of medication, raw materials, packaging material, etc.
- To source for shipping logistics based on budget and lead time available.
- To lead research and generate technical product information for sales & marketing purposes
- To be responsible for expanding market share and exploring new business opportunities.
- To manage the forecasting supply and demand of products.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be discovery-driven and have a keen eye for unique products. You will also need to be knowledgeable in many areas such as different product regulations, logistics and nutraceutical raw materials.
There is a huge amount of autonomy attached to these roles — we like to hire great people, provide them with the resources they need and trust them to make great decisions.
This role is a training ground for leaders who will eventually become:
- New Product Development Lead
- General Manager in each of our brands
As we continue our journey of building, launching, and scaling ambitious healthcare ventures, there will be opportunities to lead ventures, markets, partnerships and new distribution channels.
Examples of projects could include:
- Research, launch and scale a new healthcare venture (e.g. diabetes, mental health, pathology)
- Research and launch a new core capability (e.g. our new product development & OTC team)
- Research and execute a new international launch.
Your experience
- At least 3 years in procurement / product development / supply chain & logistics
- Experience in healthcare / FMCG / nutraceutical / pharmaceutical industry
Your skills
- Ability to speak and write in Chinese and English fluently
- Excellent interpersonal, coordination and negotiation skills
