Senior Back-end Engineer (Golang)
Since the 1930s, the way we commute, socialize and even how we make payments have changed, and yet our fundamental approach to the healthcare system hasn’t. At Ordinary Folk, we ’re reimagining the building blocks of healthcare, through Noah and Zoey. Noah allows men to receive remote diagnosis and treatment across varying areas of care. Through Zoey, women’s sexual wellness and fertility journeys are supported with thoughtful products and services.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the tech lead, product team, and leadership to define, design, build, test, and deploy the scalable products
- Design and develop new features for the platform/ system
- Build and maintain scalable back-end API for mobile platforms
- Build extensible integration with 3rd party partners
- Participate in reviewing product design and code reviews
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing scalable solutions
- Investigate and use new technologies where relevant
- Communicate with other team members to determine the best solutions to difficult issues
Qualifications
- Have 2-5 years of experience as a Backend Development or Software Development (Middle-Senior)
- Strong skills with some of the back-end technologies such as Golang/ Python/ Java/ Nodejs
- Have good experience in cloud architecture/ infrastructure, especially on AWS
- Be willing to switch and work with Golang language
- Extensive experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL including performance tuning and optimization
- Can do with application performance monitoring and optimization
- Ability to plan the work on your solutions before writing code
- Excellent at coding (the code is well documented and compliant with good practices) and testing (Unit Test, Integration Test)
- You understand the Big-O analysis of algorithms
- Have good experience in cloud architecture/ infrastructure, especially on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Good at problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent professional experience
