Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Engineer at Ordinary Folk, you’ll help to:
- Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods.
- Directing our software programming initiatives
- Overseeing the development of documentation.
- Working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project
statuses and proposals. - Analyzing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of
existing systems. - Managing the software development lifecycle.
- Monitoring system performance.
- Communicating key project data to team members and building cohesion among teams.
- Developing and executing project plans.
- Applying mathematics, and statistics to problem-solving initiatives.
- Applying best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Creating innovative solutions to meet our company’s technical needs.
- Testing new software and fixing bugs.
- Shaping the future of our systems.
Qualifications
Your experience
- At least 3 years as a Software Engineer or in a similar role
- At least 3 years working in a startup or e-commerce or SaaS space
- Startup experience. You will have a huge passion for startups and fast-growing teams. You will have been part of the journey of a successful startup
- Having an ability to work independently while being a member of a fully remote and global team
Your skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript
- Proficiency with ReactJS for client-side development and NodeJS for backend development
- Experience with relational database (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Experience in production development of RESTful APIs
- eCommerce experience. You have experience building eCommerce platforms (e.g. customer
management, transactions, order, invoicing) and have the requisite skills to meet the
technical demands. - Startup experience. You will have a huge passion for startups and fast-growing teams. You
will have been part of the journey of a successful startup.
